Yes, the internet can be shut down by governments or internet service providers through various means such as blocking access to certain websites, throttling internet speeds, or even completely cutting off access to the internet. However, it is difficult to completely shut down the entire internet globally due to its decentralized nature. A blackout, such as a power outage, can also shut down the internet if the infrastructure that supports it, such as data centers and network equipment, loses power. In such cases, backup power systems like generators or batteries can keep the internet running for a limited time, but a prolonged blackout could eventually lead to a complete shutdown of internet services in the affected areas. **

It is highly unlikely that the internet can be shut down worldwide. The internet is a decentralized network made up of numerous interconnected servers and networks across the globe. Even in the event of a large-scale cyberattack or natural disaster, it would be extremely difficult to completely shut down the entire internet. Additionally, many countries have their own independent internet infrastructure, making a global shutdown even more challenging to achieve. **

It is highly unlikely that the internet can be completely shut down. The internet is a decentralized network of interconnected servers and devices, making it difficult to shut down entirely. Even in the event of a major disruption, there are redundant systems and backup protocols in place to keep the internet running. Additionally, the internet is a critical infrastructure for communication, commerce, and information exchange, making it unlikely that authorities would intentionally shut it down. **

Nikola Tesla was not "shut down" in the traditional sense. However, he did face numerous challenges and setbacks throughout his career, including financial difficulties and disputes with other inventors. Despite these obstacles, Tesla continued to work on his inventions and ideas until his death in 1943. While he may have faced opposition and struggles, it would be inaccurate to say that he was "shut down." **
